We’re moving to 2021 – with our full line-up & with you.
After last summer’s magical maiden voyage, the feeling of building something extremely special together had us counting the days until we can return to the Mill and the Forest with you.
As the Covid-19 crises unfolded and predictions and parameters evolved, we’ve looked into various options for our young festival – and hoped for the best. We’d like to thank you for your patience, as we know you have also been wondering how Akasha will be affected.
In light of recent developments, we will not be reunited in Kolkwitz this summer and are postponing Akasha Festival to 13-15 August 2021.
You might be as heartbroken as we are by the news, but we also have something to look forward to: We were able to reschedule 100% of this year’s line-up to 2021! All of the announced artists are now set to play next August and the rest of our confirmed acts will be revealed in the months to come.
Moreover, your purchased tickets for 2020 will automatically remain valid for Akasha 2021. We dearly hope you’ll choose to support us by holding on to your tickets, as this will help us immensely moving forward to next year. However, we understand that you might be struggling financially yourself – so if you wish to refund your ticket, please get in touch with us via firstname.lastname@example.org
To be transparent, this is a tough blow for us after our first edition, both emotionally and financially. Akasha isn’t simply a weekend of music and friendship, but a passion-driven project committed to the sustainable restoration and development of our beautiful site, while we strive to add cultural value to both the local area and to Germany’s festival landscape. Besides the work that has gone into planning our return to the Mill and the costs attached to longterm infrastructural work and this year’s contracts, we are struggling against a substantial loss carryover from 2019’s initial investment of realising our festival.
As one community, we will pull through this – and we can’t wait to celebrate life with you as we return next year. In the meantime, we believe that we’re doing our part by standing together in solidarity and fully support the authorities‘ measures in containing the virus. We’d like to thank all of the agencies and artists for their help, and, above all, we thank you for your trust and understanding.
Please stay healthy & strong – until we gather next summer, to elevate each other together.
